The SS is the only V8 shitheap :alki: Either way I'm still just saying Edmunds drivers suck. Plenty of people have taken stock GT500's into the mid-low 12's stock, best they could do was a 12.8? Incompetent fucksticks. And for an extra $16,000 I'd hope it could beat the Camaro :disturbed:

agreed, the 2010 gt premium is 30g base, mustangs are way too over priced now.

Ignorant, not really. That statement is based on the fact that a stock 1998-2002 SS or WS6 is still faster than a 2009 or hell, most likely even 2010 GT, and probably a 2011 without the 5.0 option.

Arrogant, maybe. I'm leaning more towards it being an amusing and slightly pathetic truth.

If I bought a gt500 KR last year I think I'd be pissed that this new cobra is as fast as the KR.

funny thing is even with being faster they were still horribly out sold, just shows you how far the fact that a car is "faster" isn't the whole picture.

Yeah, it shows that people like to buy lots of V6 Mustangs because they were cheaper than V6 F-bodies for rental fleets, corporate fleets, to make their wife shut the fuck up, as first cars for their teenagers...

Performance - F-body
Styling - Personal preference, but I'd take an F-body over a Mustang for any year except 96-97.
Interior - Both suck, again personal preference, personally I think the F-body's is nicer, more comfortable, and more ergonomic
Fuel mileage - F-body
Reliability - Both mediocre
Price - Mustang

What? I'm not saying the F-body outsold the Mustang. I'm saying that the V6 Mustang outsells the V8 by about 2 to 1.

Edit: That and the fact that people bought the Mustang for the same reason - It was much cheaper than the V8 F-bodies.

What? Come on Rice, you're fairly intelligent. You should know that the market tends to favor the cheaper product. Besides, it's really only the Mustang guys that make a big deal out of the F-body going out of production. It's like their trump card - "Oh yeah? Well they stopped making your car!"... When most F-body owners hear it they really don't give a shit. The car was made, the car was a better performer, the car went out of production cause it was too expensive for its own good. The performance of the car speaks for itself though, the LS1 came out in 1998 and it took Ford until 2005 to come out with a base V8 that was even CLOSE to a base V8 F-body. In 2009 they're STILL not faster, and Ford has yet to produce a V8 that offers as much performance for the price. A bare optioned Z28 in 02 cost about $23,000 and a 2003 Cobra bare optioned was about $33,500 - again for an extra $10,500 and 70-80 horsepower more I'd hope it could outperform the F-body.

Take a look though Rice, if you wanna talk about sales... You're having trouble selling your 2000 GT for $8,000 while 2000 Z28's, SS', T/A's, Formula's, etc. are still selling for over $20,000 in excellent condition, $16,000+ in good condition.
