In the market for a short shifter for my car, and was looking for some suggestions. I don't see too much talk on here about them. I know you get what you pay for but I see this one a lot on AM that is pretty cheap with great reviews

Lol. I've got two hookers on my car, so I guess that makes me quite pimp as well.

Worth getting? Does it make it that much fun to drive? Or should I save or spend money on bigger things?

Exhaust is getting done on Monday, other than that it's stock. Just looking to do bolt ons, don't think I'll ever do any sort of FI. Have about 300-400 to spend.

What's a ballpark quote for installation of the gears. Also I'd have to get it tuned right? So what's your best guess for total price on everything?

any aftermarket shifter is a good replacement for what you have. it was the first mod i did on my 94 V6. when i got a GT with the stock shifter, it took about a week for me to order a new shifter and install iy. it is relativly inexpensive, and if you know how to turn a wrench you can do the install yourself.

i bought the 60 dollar one from american muscle and it works just as well as a pro 5.0 just remember to use loctite on the handle bolts or they will come loose.
